India defeated Afghanistan by seven wickets in the rain-curtailed first ODI in Dharamshala. With this, India extended their 100% unbeaten record against Afghanistan in international cricket to 16 matches. India restricted Afghanistan to 194 in 24.5 overs in the 25-over-a-side match and chased down the target in 22.5 overs. India debutants Gurnoor Brar and Harsh Dubey took three wickets each.
