India eyes Product Passport for fisheries to boost exports: Report

India is developing a Product Passport framework for the fisheries sector to improve traceability and support seafood exports, CNBC-TV18 reported. The initiative comes as the country aims to increase seafood exports beyond $10 billion in FY27 from $7.5 billion in FY26. The system will provide end-to-end digital tracking of fish and shrimp from source to consumer.
