India fall to 121st spot in FIFA rankings after Afghanistan loss

The Indian men's football team has fallen four spots in the latest FIFA world rankings to 121 after suffering a shocking 1-2 loss against Afghanistan in the second round of the World Cup 2026 qualifiers. Notably, the AIFF President, Kalyan Chaubey, formed a committee to look into the performances of the national team after their demoralising home defeat last month.
