India flies 415 'Lifeline UDAN' flights to transport 780 tons of essential cargo
Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has said 415 flights under 'Lifeline UDAN' have transported 780 tons of medical and essential cargo over 4,07,139 kilometres since March 26. The flights were operated by Air India, Alliance Air, IAF and private carriers. The Civil Aviation Ministry officials have "admirably stood up as pillars of strength" during India's coronavirus fight, Puri added.
