India gets 6th edtech unicorn as LEAD School's valuation hits $1.1 billion
LEAD School has become a unicorn after raising $100 million from investors led by GSV Ventures and WestBridge Capital. The Mumbai-based edtech startup doubled its valuation in less than a year to $1.1 billion. Founded by Sumeet Mehta and Smita Deorah in 2013, LEAD School is India's sixth edtech startup to turn unicorn after BYJU's, Unacademy, Eruditus, upGrad and Vedantu.
