India gets 7 global food standards adopted at Codex

India strengthened its role in global food standard-setting after seven Codex standards and guidelines developed under its leadership were adopted at the 49th Codex Alimentarius Commission in Geneva. The Commission also approved India's proposal to develop a new Codex standard for cashew kernels, supporting quality, trade and exports.
