India gifts indigenously-built missile corvette INS Kirpan to Vietnam

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday announced that India has gifted the indigenously-built in-service missile corvette INS Kirpan to Vietnam to enhance the country's naval capabilities. Singh and his Vietnamese counterpart General Phan Van Giang held talks in Delhi to carry forward bilateral defence cooperation. INS Kirpan is a Khukri-class corvette, commissioned into the Navy in 1991.
