India is using an AI-based price prediction mechanism to predict onion and tomato prices. Consumer affairs secretary Rohit Kumar Singh claimed that "the government can now predict the prices of essential commodities for 30, 45, 60 days in advance with a lot of accuracy." They'll share this technology with neighbours, starting with Sri Lanka, to aid in their planning.
