India has nearly 11 months of import cover in forex: Goyal

Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal addressed the Confederation of Indian Industry Annual Summit on Tuesday amid tensions around foreign exchange reserves. "India has nearly 11 months of import cover in foreign exchange reserves," Goyal said. He added that India's trade deficit in goods and services together is much lower than country’s annual remittances, reflecting strong economic performance.
