India investigates Telegram, could ban the app: Report

The Indian government is investigating Telegram over concerns of criminal activities such as extortion and gambling, Moneycontrol reported on Monday citing a government official. The official added the messaging app could even be banned depending on the probe's findings. The report comes as Telegram CEO Pavel Durov was arrested by French authorities over the app's moderation policies.
