India is proud of her: PM Modi on Mirabai's Asian Games silver

PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated Indian weightlifter Mirabai Chanu on winning silver in the women's 49kg category at the Asian Games 2026. "Her determination and consistency continue to inspire the nation. India is proud of her," the Prime Minister's Office wrote on X. Notably, Chanu's medal is India's first in weightlifting at the Asian Games in 28 years.
