India issues letter of request to France for 114 Rafale jets, 94 to be made in India

India has issued a Letter of Request (LoR) to France to buy 114 Rafale fighter aircraft for the Indian Air Force at around ₹3.25 lakh crore, ANI reported. Out of 114 jets, 94 are expected to be manufactured in India by French company Dassault Aviation in partnership with an Indian firm. The deal is expected to conclude within a year.
