India issues stern warning to Telegram over pirated content, asks it to act in 15 days

The Centre issued a stern warning to Telegram over its use to disseminate pirated movies, OTT content and other audio-visual material. It asked Telegram to submit an action-taken report within 15 days. It further asked the platform to strengthen systems for detection, reporting, disabling access and removal of pirated content, clarifying that Telegram should proactively act against such content.
