India, Japan sign 4th tranche of ₹18,000 cr loan for bullet train

Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra on Monday said that India and Japan have signed the documents for the fourth tranche of ₹18,000 crore loan for India's bullet train from Mumbai-Ahmedabad. The documents were signed during Japan PM Fumio Kishida's visit to India. Earlier, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said India is targeting 2026 for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train to start operations.
