India joins 'Pax Silica', US-led initiative on AI, critical minerals and semiconductors

India on Friday signed the Pax Silica Declaration, joining the US-led initiative aimed at building secure supply chains for critical minerals, semiconductors and AI infrastructure. US Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, said, "India's entry into Pax Silica is not just symbolic. It is strategic and essential." The declaration was signed on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit.
