South Africa defeated India by 31 runs at Boland Park in Paarl in first ODI on Wednesday. Chasing a 297-run target, India, who were 138/1 in 25.2 overs, were reduced to 214/8 in 42.2 overs, losing seven wickets for 76 runs. India managed to score 265/8 in their 50 overs. Rassie van der Dussen top-scored for South Africa with 129*(96).
