India loses 4% of GDP to malnutrition: Report

India has lost 4% of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to malnutrition, a joint report by Assocham and Ernst & Young said. India is home to 50% of the world's undernourished children, the report pointed out. It also suggested that expenditure towards the welfare of women and children needs to be higher as they fall last in household food servings.
