An EY India report projects over 100 million new long-term investors by 2035, driven by salaried workers, women, Gen Z, and youth in smaller cities. By June 2026, under-30 investors made up 38% of the base. Micro-SIPs and wider access are bridging the gap despite low mutual fund penetration among 550 mn UPI users.
