India, currently ranked eighth in the list of world's largest economies, may take third place in the world ranking by 2030, surpassing UK, France, Germany and Japan, according to the US Department of Agriculture's latest projections. Another Asian economy, China, will see its GDP double in the same period, bringing it very close to the global leader US.
