India may exclude BYD, other Chinese firms from EV policy: Report

India's upcoming electric vehicle (EV) policy may not extend its concessions to Chinese companies like BYD over national security concerns, Moneycontrol reported. The policy requires "actual investments" by an EV-maker to be eligible for the concessional duty of 15%. The Chinese firms will have to pay the existing duty of 70% to 100%, the report added.
