India may extend cyber rules to EV 2-wheelers, e-rickshaws after Bluetooth hack: Report
India may extend its upcoming vehicle cybersecurity rules to electric scooters and e-rickshaws after some e-rickshaws were remotely disabled via Bluetooth apps, Mint reported. The standards, rolling out from October 2026, will initially cover passenger and commercial vehicles. Manufacturers warn that including electric two- and three-wheelers could raise costs and hurt affordability.
