India may have little sugar surplus for export over next 3 seasons

India is likely to have limited sugar available for export for at least the next three seasons as weather-related risks to cane production and rising ethanol demand reduce supplies, Reuters reported. The shortage could tighten global availability and support sugar prices. Once a major exporter, India has restricted overseas shipments after exporting about 800,000 tonnes this season.
