India may increase taxes on refined palm oil imports: Reports

India is considering increasing import taxes on refined palm oil to grow local processing and cut overseas purchases, reports said. It may impose additional levy and raise GST on the processed tropical oil. The move could reduce palm shipments from top producers like Indonesia and Malaysia.
