India may roll out unincorporated sector index before 2031: Report

India's statistics ministry plans to launch an index tracking unincorporated sector enterprises ahead of the 2031 timeline, Moneycontrol reported. It aims to broaden high-frequency economic indicators beyond the organised industrial sector. It would provide better visibility into the performance of small, and household businesses currently outside the scope of the Index of Industrial Production.
