India monitoring hantavirus outbreak, high level meeting held: Report

Government is closely monitoring evolving situation on hantavirus cases onboard MV Hondius cruise ship, ANI said citing sources. As a precautionary public health measure, the Public Health Emergency Operations Centre under IDSP, NCDC convened a high-level review meeting involving senior officials from IDSP and IHR-NFP India. Health Ministry is maintaining close coordination with WHO, ANI added.
