India must regulate AI to build trust but not at cost of innovation: Microsoft exec
Microsoft's chief product officer, Sarah Bird said countries such as India should introduce AI regulations to build trust among businesses, while ensuring innovation is not hindered. Her remarks come as India and several global technology firms are working on shaping AI governance frameworks. Notably, Microsoft employs over 23,000 people in the country, reporting ₹29,302 crore revenue in FY25.
