India only nation to lose mariners in attack on ships: Govt at meeting to reopen Strait of Hormuz

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri participated in a meeting called by the UK on efforts to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. He highlighted that India is the only nation to have lost mariners in attacks on shipping vessels in the Gulf. "He noted the importance of the principles of freedom of navigation and unimpeded transit through international waterways," MEA said.
