India Open retains status as Super 750 event despite 'hygiene' row
The India Open, the country's biggest badminton tournament, has retained its status as a Super 750 event. The tournament, which was held last month in Delhi, had come under heavy criticism after players complained about poor hygiene, monkeys entering the stadium, and bird excreta disrupting play. Meanwhile, the Syed Modi India International was downgraded from Super 300 to Super 100.
