India, Pakistan take part in SCO military drill for 1st time

India and Pakistan are for the first time taking part in a counter-terrorism drill organised by the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). The SCO Peace Mission Exercise 2018 is being held in Russia until August 29 and will involve the participation of at least 3,000 soldiers. Both India and Pakistan became full members of the SCO in 2017.
