India probes dumping of Chinese ethyl chloroformate imports

India on Tuesday initiated an anti-dumping probe into ethyl chloroformate imports from China after a domestic producer alleged the ​chemical used in pharmaceutical manufacturing was being sold at ‌unfairly low prices. Probe could lead to import duties and higher costs for drugmakers if dumping is confirmed. The move followed the allegation that it caused price suppression and ​low profitability.
