India pushes for UNSC reform at UN General Assembly

India's UN Ambassador Harish Parvathaneni told the UN General Assembly that the Security Council's failure to reflect contemporary realities is undermining its legitimacy. He said authority derived from the 1945 post-WWII victory cannot substitute for democratic representation, and that no war fought 80 years ago should determine today's world order.
