India ranked 7 among countries hit most by terrorism

India was ranked seventh in the list of countries most impacted by terrorism in 2015, according to the Global Terrorism Index (GTI), 2016, released by an Australia-based think-tank. India experienced 7% of all terrorist attacks across the world, the fourth highest after Iraq (20%), Afghanistan (14%), and Pakistan (8%). Around 80% of the terror attacks in India, however, were non-lethal.
