India ranks 7th in customer hacking impacts: Microsoft report

India ranked seventh globally for customer impact from hacking incidents in the first half of 2026, according to Microsoft's Digital Defense Report 2026. The report, based on more than 165 trillion daily security signals, highlighted rapidly evolving cyber threats. Phishing accounted for 23% of recorded intrusions, up from 7% the previous year.
