India receives highest ever FDI for first five months this fiscal

India received the highest ever foreign direct investment (FDI) for the first five months of a fiscal year during April-August 2020 at $35.73 billion, according to government data released on Tuesday. This is 13% higher than that of first five months of 2019-20. India's total FDI inflow grew by 55% from $231.37 billion in 2008-14 to $358.29 billion in 2014-20.
