India records all-time high power demand for 4th consecutive day

India’s peak power demand touched a new record of 270.82 GW at 3:45 pm on Thursday. The levels surpassed yesterday's peak demand (solar hours) of 265.44 GW, which was also successfully met. This marks the 4th consecutive day when the peak power demand (solar hours) reached a new all-time high. The surge comes amid an intense heatwave in the country.
