India rejects $300 billion climate finance deal at COP29
India on Sunday rejected the new climate finance package of $300 billion annually by 2035 for the Global South at the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference or COP29, calling it "too little and too distant". "The amount proposed to be mobilised is abysmally poor. It's a paltry sum," Indian delegate Chandni Raina said at the conference in Azerbaijan.
