India rejects reports of Iran imposing levy on its ships using Hormuz Strait, calls them baseless

Union Shipping Ministry has rejected reports that claimed Iran was imposing levy on Indian ships that were passing through the Strait of Hormuz. "Strait of Hormuz is an international strait...It offers right to freedom of navigation. No fees can be levied on it, as per international regulations," Special Secretary Rajesh Kumar Sinha said. He further called the reports "baseless".
