India releases statement after US and Iran agree to 2-week ceasefire

India's Ministry of External Affairs released a statement after the US and Iran agreed to a two-week ceasefire. "We welcome the ceasefire reached and hope that it will lead to a lasting peace in West Asia," the ministry said. "We expect that unimpeded freedom of navigation and global flow of commerce would prevail through the Strait of Hormuz," it added.
