India releases statement as UK sanctions businessman, pro-Khalistan group over terror activity

India welcomed UK's sanctioning of British businessman Gurpreet Singh Rehal and the associated Babbar Akali Lehar group for financing and promoting pro-Khalistan group Babbar Khalsa involved in terror activities. "Such individuals and groups pose a threat not just to India and UK, but to people globally" India said. The move strengthened global fight against terrorism and extremism, it added.
