India releases statement on US' green card crackdown against several Indian firms

After the US suspended several Indian IT firms from a programme allowing foreign workers to get permanent residency, the Ministry of External Affairs said US' steps do not advance the shared ambitions of both countries. Criticising US VP JD Vance for calling foreign workers "indentured servants", MEA said, "Such descriptions...ignore the fact that Indian professionals in US are highly educated."
