India removes 10% export tax on parboiled rice to boost exports

The Central government has scraped the export tax on parboiled rice, according to a government notification released on Tuesday. This comes as the world's biggest exporter of rice aims to boost exports after a bumper crop production. The Centre had earlier reduced the export duty from 20% to 10% in September.
