India reports 2.71 lakh new COVID-19 cases, active cases rise to 15.50 lakh

India has reported 2,71,202 new COVID-19 cases and 314 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. India's daily positivity rate stood at 16.28%, while the active cases in the country rose to 15,50,377. Notably, 1.38 lakh people recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
