India reports 3,947 new COVID-19 cases, active cases stand at 39,583

India reported 3,947 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This comes a day after the country recorded 4,272 fresh COVID-19 cases. The active cases in the country now stand at 39,583. The coronavirus-related death toll so far has reached 5,28,629. The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.44%.
