Indian traders have begun exporting wheat for the first time in four years, amid ample stocks, higher global prices and firmer freight rates, Reuters reported citing sources. ITC is reportedly preparing to ship 22,000 metric tonnes of wheat to the UAE. The Centre permitted exports of an additional 25 lakh tonnes of wheat in April, considering a comfortable stock position.
