India resumes wheat exports after 4 years: Report

Indian traders have begun exporting wheat for the first time ‌in four years, amid ample stocks, higher global prices and firmer freight rates, Reuters reported citing sources. ITC ​is reportedly preparing to ship 22,000 metric tonnes of wheat to the UAE. The Centre permitted exports of an additional 25 lakh tonnes of wheat in April, considering a comfortable stock position.
