India’s 'padman' nominated for 2026 Nobel Peace Prize

Arunachalam Muruganantham widely known as the real "PadMan," began his mission after learning many rural women could not afford sanitary pads. Despite ridicule and stigma, he created low-cost pad-making machines that now operate in India and over 100 countries. Nominated for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, his work has improved menstrual health access and empowered countless women.
