India's Aditya L-1 joins hands with Europe's Proba-3 to study solar eruptions

Scientists from Bengaluru's Indian Institute of Astrophysics have published the first coordinated analysis of Aditya-L1's VELC and Europe's Proba-3 ASPIICS coronagraphs. Through combined observations, researchers studied two coronal mass ejections recorded in September 2025. They measured the mass, density and energetics of these CMEs to better understand how solar eruptions evolve near the Sun.
