India's Asian Games javelin gold streak ends, Yashvir wins silver and Rohit bags bronze

India failed to defend men's javelin throw gold at Asian Games 2026 as Sri Lanka's Rumesh Pathirage won the final with 88.55-metre throw. Yashvir Singh claimed silver with personal-best 85.72 metres, while Rohit Yadav bagged bronze with 84.35 metres. Neeraj Chopra, who didn't take part in the 2026 edition due to injury, had won gold at the previous two editions.
