India's biggest telescope was inaugurated at the Udaipur Solar Observatory on Tuesday. The Multi Application Solar Telescope (MAST) will be used for detailed observation of the solar activity. It will capture high-resolution 3D images of important solar events like the solar blast and solar flares. MAST was built with a funding of Rs 26 crore from the Department of Science.
