India’s business confidence hits five-quarter high: CII

India's business confidence has risen to a five-quarter high, with CII's index climbing to 66.5 in Q3FY26, driven by strong domestic demand, improved profitability and robust investment sentiment. CII said India remains the world's fastest-growing major economy despite global uncertainty, crediting sustained reforms, festive consumption and optimism over future growth.
