India's capex target raised to ₹11.21 lakh crore for FY26
The government has raised the capital expenditure target to ₹11.21 lakh crore (3.1% of GDP) for the upcoming financial year (FY26), according to the Union Budget. However, it reduced the target for the ongoing financial year from ₹11.11 lakh crore to ₹10.18 lakh crore. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the Budget aims to boost jobs, manufacturing, exports and innovation.
